Meet
Fr. W. Scott Blick
Fr. W. Scott Blick is a priest of the U.S./Canadian Anglican Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter and has full faculties to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
Fr. Scott Blick joined Fr. Mario Arroyo at our June 2013 Theology on the Vine for a special "Pester the Priests: 2 for 1". The video of that gathering is online.

The Ordinariates were developed so that clergy of the Anglican/Episcopalian tradition, who found themselves no longer able to serve the Anglican/Episcopalian Church in good conscience, would have a vehicle through which they could come into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church and be ordained as priests even though they were married.
He was received into the Catholic Church in Feb. 2012 after 35 years of ministry in the Episcopal Church and was ordained by His Eminence, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo on May 7, 2013.
Fr. Scott is married to Kathleen Mensik Blick who is a facilities planner for the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in the Texas Medical Center. She is a “cradle born” Roman Catholic and they have one son, Andrew (age 12) still at home. Andrew will be a rising seventh grader at John Paul II Catholic School. Monsignor Edward Randall married Scott and Kathy here in St. Cyril of Alexander Roman Catholic Church.
The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter
On January 1, 2012, the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, Pope Benedict XVI established the second Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter for those groups of Anglicans in the United States who seek to enter into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.
Equivalent to a diocese, the Ordinariate is composed of parishes, groups, religious communities, and individuals of the Anglican heritage gathered around the Ordinary. They serve under the direct authority of the Pope, in partnership with the bishops of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, to build up the Roman Catholic Church through mutual mission and ministry while retaining elements of the Anglican patrimony.

On January 1, 2012 Pope Benedict XVI appointed Rev. Jeffrey N. Steenson as the first Ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter.
