Deacon Bob Angelich announced at the 9:00 am Mass this past Sunday, that he had reached a milestone in his life (65 in August), and has retired from his career of 40 plus years in the Oil Industry and is relocating to Las Cruces New Mexico.
Bob was ordained as a Permanent Deacon in 2003 in Gary Indiana. He relocated to Texas in 2014 and joined us at St Cyril. Over his many years of service to us, Bob worked with our Baptismal Preparation Classes, Bible Study Classes, facilitated our Divorce Support Ministry, started the Prayer Not Violence Ministry, and, of course, always delivered fine homilies. He also served as a volunteer spiritual care minister at Texas Children’s Hospital.
We have been blessed to have Deacon Bob with us at St. Cyril for so many years. We will truly miss him and wish him the very best in Las Cruces.
Part of his Sunday morning goodbye message to our parish follows:
“And to you, the Body of Christ, it has been an incredible privilege to minister to you and with you. And please know that you will always be in my heart and you will always be in my prayers. Life is a journey – journey well. And so, thank you St. Cyril. Never be afraid! May God Bless you and your families all your days. And for one last time, I will say: Amen!” - Deacon Bob Anglich (Jan. 9, 2022)
