Why the HOLY HOUR FOR LIFE ?
There are those who actively pray and work for an end to abortion. However, did you know that in the United States, since 1973, in a time frame of only 38 years, more than 53 million* unborn babies have been killed? This is, on average, more than three thousand -- every day – one unborn baby every 23 seconds. Therefore, we must ask ourselves, “Are we doing enough?”
Prayer is a strong weapon against evil. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells us, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
The Holy Hour for Life is an opportunity to come together as a Christian community. The purpose is to pray for the unborn and that life in all its stages be respected; for we are made in the image and likeness of God who has commanded us, “Thou shall not kill.”
During the Holy Hour, to be held in the chapel, there will be a Rosary, scripture readings, a homily, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. We urge you to prayerfully consider joining us.
