Office of Pro-Life Activities - The Gabriel Project
Catholics are called to protect life in all of its stages - from natural conception to natural death. But this takes more than advocacy. It takes concrete action.
The Gabriel Project is a pro-life, parish-based ministry of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, coordinated through the Office of Pro-Life Activities. This ministry serves 1,800 women each year. It is a concrete action taken by the Archdiocese to help protect and preserve human life. The Gabriel Project offers assistance to women experiencing difficult circumstances during pregnancy. Volunteers provide practical advice and help, as well as spiritual support and Christian witness to mothers in need. Our Gabriel Angels are trained to provide some of the following based on the particular needs of those they serve:

Like 60+ other ministries in the Archdiocese, the Office of Pro-Life Activities is supported by the Diocesan Services Fund (DSF). Each year, programs supported by the DSF provide services that live out the Gospel message and bring Christ into our communities. 100% of every dollar given to the DSF goes directly to supporting ministries in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
